1/10/09-SNOW SNOW AND MORE SNOW

Here is the snow on our patio furniture that I was to lazy to bring in for the winter. As you can tell we have quite a bit of snow. This was taken around 4:30 this afternoon. And as proof here I am finishing up a scoop of snow. The dogs loved it.

Twitch I think likes to eat the snow more than anything. For those of you who aren't familiar with our house, I went about 14 feet out from the garage and the driveway is about 14 feet wide. My arms are tired. Our neighbor came down and plowed us out after he got out of work this afternoon. Thank God. I really don't feel like shoveling anymore. Watch for more snow pictures tomorrow. We are suppose to get another 3-6 inches. Then at the end of the week (just in time for my retreat) the high temperature is only 8!!!!! with a low of -3. Yikes! As long as it doesn't snow I'm there!!
Have a good night everyone.

1/8/09-365 page done

So Here is my first page finally. I actually had everything packed away to start putting things together for the 365 project when I decided to just do it tonight. My husband is watching college ball and I really don't feel like watching TV so what other option is there except to scrap.
On the swirly paper I am going to put the Title 365 in there with my cricut letters and then add another journaling block at the top if I have to. I only have 2 days worth here but it's a start.
I have started to print the other pictures so I can stay ahead of that part of the game and then I will work on journaling boxes and arranging them at the retreat.
The weather has turned yucky as I guess I should expect it should but I am hating the frigid cold temperatures. I don't mind the snow if it would just come down nice and easy instead of the snowy blustery storm we had last night. As much as I hate the cold temperatures, my plan is to take the kids sled riding on the 19th because there's no school and I took the day off to spend with them to do something fun. We'll see if we still have snow by then. We should because I think it's suppose to snow from now till eternity (or at least the next 6 days).
I hope your enjoying the new year and working on your 365 project. Remember one picture at day and putting them in these really easy sleeves make it so much simpler. If your in need of these sleeves, please let me know I will be placing an order in the next couple of weeks.
Have a good weekend everyone!

1/5/09-Project 365

Have you been taking your pictures? I've been taking them just not printing them or making my pages. I have my retreat in a couple weeks and I plan on pre-making my pages then. I will post when I get them done.

Hope everyone is back to school and working without any hitches this morning. This was the best morning for my family to get up and moving today. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Have a good evening.

1/1/09-HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It is finally a new year. What a rough 2008. Between the economy, gas prices, and lots of family/friends' bad news, I am glad it is over and ready to start fresh. The only thing I am not looking forward to is tax time now. HATE IT!!!!
Thought I would post some handmade Christmas cards we got this season. Now if I could just get motivated to scrapbook (and post it) I would feel so much better.
The challenge has started I actually took 2 pictures already so I'm all set!!!

Have a great new years day!!!

CHALLENGE-12/29

Are you up for a challenge? My CTMH friends/consultants have all decided to take up the 365 days of scrapbooking. This was featured in the Creating Keepsakes magazine this month. They want you to buy their kit but we are going to use the photo storage pages from CTMH. This challenge is to take a picture everyday in 2009 and scrapbook it at the end of the week. All you have to do is print the pictures, insert them in the photo storage pages, create a journaling box, and voila-you've scrapped 365 days worth of pictures. I will be posting my layouts on Saturdays to my blog and will be linking the other consultants' pages also so you can see what we come up with.

If you are in my club and decide to so this challenge, please send me a quick email to let me know you want to participate. I will put everyone's name into a drawing for every week that you participate. Bring your pages to club and I will put your name on a ticket (I will only do this if more than 3 people decide to do this). For every week you complete you will earn a ticket. The prizes will consist of stamp sets, paper packets, gift certificates, etc.

So are you up for the challenge? Remember please contact me as soon as possible. The challenge will begin on 1/1/09. So get your cameras ready!

12/29-January Club layout

So here is the January Club layout. We will be working on this at the retreat which is 1/16-1/18. I wanted to stamp on it but couldn't figure out what stamp set to use so I opted not. I bought lots of embellishments for everyone to use. Some new stuff out of the new catalog. I'm hoping I like it after I get pictures on it.
