1/2/10-Another snowy day

I decided to go ahead and walk outside instead of on the treadmill and it is so beautiful outside. It has been snowing for a couple days now. I keep meaning to take my camera with me so you can see what I see when walking. Today I really enjoyed it even though it was only 15 degrees, but it was so quiet an pleasant. It's a harder workout because of walking in the snow and my quads are really feeling it. I'll try to remember to take my camera tomorrow. Hope everyone is enjoying the new year. We've been lazy but we don't want to go anywhere because the roads aren't the best.

Where did the year go? I have totally ignored this blog-not intentionally but life has gotten in the way. Kids need to go there, I have to be here, the holidays and boom it's a new year.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. If your like me your glad it is over. I am hoping that 2010 is better for me than 2009 was.

I will try to keep this up to date from now on.

6/26-WOW

Let me just start by saying I can't believe how fast this month went. Every weekend and weeknight has something going on and July isn't looking any better. I hope to get some pictures posted Sunday evening.

5/16-The May Dance

So today is the big "May Dance". The Middle schools version of the prom. Taylor went with friends. It doesn't start till 8 but they came out for pictures and then going out to dinner. She looks too grown up!!!

Taylor's the one on the right. and of course I can't get the top picture turned right.

5/5-Much better

Thank you for those of you wishing me well with my eye. It is soooo much better today. Still a little blurry here and there but for the most not the pain and swelling I had yesterday. The sleep seemed to help too.

5/5-A proud parent

Sorry for the sideways picture-Griffin competed in 3 events at Hershey Track and Field on Saturday taking 1st in all three-softball throw, 100 meter dash, and 4x100 relay. Next meet districts 6/27. Good job Griffin

5/4-Starting off with a bang

So May is not starting out too good. The weather was great this past weekend. I decided to go for a run (which I am into my 5th week of and enjoy it most of the time if I can stay injury free). 6 minutes into my run I get a bug in my eye. No big deal, I wipe it out and go on. Around 6:30 last night my eye felt a little swollen and sore. Whatever I say. I wake up this morning with goop redness, swolleness and pain!!!! What the heck. So I go to the eye doctor and I scratched my eye really bad (redness) and I am having an allergic reaction the bug that was in my eye (swollen and goop) and there was a trace of the bug still in my eye. $75 later I have eye drops and a sore eye. Staring at the computer is not helping either. Here's a shot of my eye when I got home from work. By the way did I mention it hurts!!!!!!!

4/19-Last layout

So here is the 3rd layout that we will be doing. We are using CTMH Emporium level 2 paper packet with the stickease to match. Just cutting involved. I had so much fun with these!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

4/18-Busy

Griffin has ball practice today. He spend the night at friends house so I need to go get him and get him to practice. Jeff flew out this morning left at like 3 am. His flight left Pittsburgh at 6:15 am so he had to be there early. He's meeting up with friends in Boston but they get there later. Guess he'll get some lunch and wait.

I'll post more later.

4/16-2 days in a row???

I know 2 days in a row I must be sick.. No not really just trying to do more.

Here is one of the layouts my club will be doing for this month. We are doing 3 - 2 page layouts. Just cutting involved no stamping.

I will post the other ones in the next couple of days.

4/17-A double post

Last night I was in the middle of posting a few future blog posts when my husband starts yelling in a whisper voice "there's a bear, there's a bear-Heather hurry up grab your camera". I am like what the heck. I look out the window and there's a bear in our backyard. Holy MOLY!!! I couldn't believe it. We watched this thing for a little while in the backyard and then my husband scared it away from his deer feeder (seen above) and so the bear went in the woods going towards the road so we all loaded up in the car to make sure it didn't cross the road and for it go back into our yard because I couldn't get very good pictures (as you can see they are blurry). But when we came back into the driveway we scared into the backyard but then we couldn't see because it was to dark. We always have deer and turkeys an occasional fox but a bear!!!!! holy-so we're all now waiting for it tonight-like that's ever going to happen.

Anways thought you would all enjoy the pictures.

4/15/09-Are your taxes done?

Look what I got in the mail today!! From one of my cyber friends. She also made the card below. The picture really doesn't do it justice. This card is beautiful. I was so wowed by it.

So I hope everyone has there taxes done! We got ours back from the accountant yesterday (I was getting a little nervous since I dropped them off the beginning of March) and Jeff took them to the post office today!!!

For those of you who don't know. Jeff is running the Boston Marathon Monday (it's a holiday in Boston on Monday it's Patriots Day). So he flies out on Sat. and won't be back till Tuesday. You can track him on :

This is the first year for me to track him on this website so I'm not sure how this will work.

Then I leave on Friday for my retreat and won't be back till Sunday afternoon. The following weekend we are going camping. (You can tell the weather is changing-busy busy).

Also I have started running. This is my 3rd week and I am gradually working my way into it. I walk a little, run a little and walk and if I feel good I run longer. I have a training schedule I use and I am slowing working into running. I feel great, my cardio is getting so much better, and I am losing weight. I know I know your saying I don't need to but I would like to lose 10 pounds before summer. I do feel really great though. I still can't fit into those old jeans yet but maybe.

2/17-I'm on a roll

So here

is a layout I wanted to do for awhile but I just couldn't figure out what paper Shannon Buck had used. So I kind of just came up with my own. I'm happy with it, now I just need to find some pictures to put on it.

2/16-MONDAY AGAIN

So here is another week of 365 that I did. I chose not to buy the package or more sleeves for my 365 project so I kind of made my own. The pages are all set I just have to put the pictures where ever I want and then journal.

2/15/09-Finally. . .

I'm getting around to posting something. Things have just been crazy. Jeff hurt his back the beginning of January so I've been busy doing everything-cooking, cleaning, shoveling, loading the pellet stove, just things that I take for granted that he sometimes does.

Here are my pages for the 365 project. I really haven't done much scrapping and I keep forgetting to take my pictures. For the next few days I will be posting my 365 pages and some layouts I've been trying to do.

1/20/08-Inaugaration Day

So my retreat went really well. We all thought we were going to freeze never expected so much snow though. Yes, we got more snow. Holy cats did we get snow. Below is the grounds keeper snow blowing the snow away from our cabin. You can't really tell but there was at least 6-8 inches of snow that fell Saturday night. Then we got more Sunday afternoon. Some fell today but not much.

The top picture is our current snow fall. I know I keep posting the same place but then you can tell how much snow we have gotten. TOO MUCH!! I took the kids sled riding yesterday. We had a blast, till my feet got cold. The snow was knee deep where there wasn't any paths. (which would be between 16-18 inches of snow). The roads were awful again today. Icy. Hopefully tomorrow they won't be bad. I am so tired of driving on black ice.

I will post my layouts that I did later. For now you can thank God you don't live in Pennsylvania. Enjoy the pictures.

1/14/09-No more snow please!!!

So it snowed again yesterday and then again this afternoon. This is my deck. Isn't it pretty?!?!?!?! Now on top of all this white crap we have freezing cold temperatures. This morning we had -8. Tomorrow is suppose to be colder and then Friday is suppose to be a high of 1!!!! Is winter over yet!!! The roads are nothing but ice because they can't put anything down to melt it in these kinds of temperatures. Our road is snow covered but that's good because you can get traction. Where is the main route (Rt8) is nothing but ice. I made Jeff take Taylor to dance tonight because I don't like driving in this stuff. I keep asking myself why I live in PA.
